Diving will be held at the Olympic Aquatics Centre (AQC) (French: Centre Aquatique Olympique) in the Saint-Denis area of northern Paris. The AQC is a new facility being built for the 2024 Olympic Games for diving, artistic swimming and water polo. The venue will be located near the Stade de France where the Track & Field & Rugby events will be held. You can also swing by the Basilica of Saint-Denis, most-well known as the final resting place of French kings (all but four), queens (including Marie Antoinette and Catherine de’ Medici) and other nobility and royal persons.
The best place to stay – if you want to stay nearby – is in the Saint-Denis area or on the north side of the city. A popular option to consider is the trendy Montmartre neighborhood (about 5-6kms south), home of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Spectators have an interesting dilemma when choosing their stay because of the centre’s location. If you’d like to avoid the chaos of downtown Paris in the middle of the Olympics you can stay near Saint-Denis or even further north and it should be a bit calmer. However, if you plan to take in other events or would like to see Paris attractions it might make more sense to look closer to the downtown area.
The address for the Olympic Aquatics Centre (AQC) is 361 Avenue du Président Wilson, 93200 Saint-Denis, Paris.
Public transport is available. Be sure to leave extra time for travel as transport systems will be very busy and extra security measures will be in place. Below are the nearby public transportation stops for AQC:
