The Sailing competition at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games is scheduled for 28 July – 8 August, 2024 at the Marseille Marina in Marseille, France (~8 hours south of Paris). This will include men’s and women’s One Person Dinghy – ILCA (6 or 7), Skiff – 49er (or 49er FX), Windsurfer – iQFoil, kiteboarding and mixed Mixed Multihull – Nacra 17 Foiling, Mixed Two Person Dinghy – 470.
The Marseille Marina (also known as the Stade nautique du Roucas Blanc) will be the headquarters of excitement for Olympic sailing activities and is located on the southern side of Marseille along the waterfront. Marseille has lots of hotel and vacation rental options at various price points, but keep in mind this is the backyard of the French Riviera (during the Olympics) so they won’t come at a discount. Stay along the coast and ask for rooms with Mediterranean views. Yes, they will command top prices – but if you’re able to afford it, you won’t soon forget it.
The address for the Marseille Marina is 93350 Le Bourget, France. It may show up on some maps as “Stade nautique du Roucas Blanc”.
According to the Paris 2024 website, Marseille Marina will be served by the Rond‑Point du Prado metro station (line M2), and by bus stops at La Plage (line 19) and Plage Roucas Blanc (line 83). Note that line M2 can be taken from Marseille Saint‑Charles station. More information is available on the official website www.rtm.fr.
