The Handball competition at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games is scheduled for 27 July – 11 August, 2024. The event will take places at two locations: South Paris Arena #6 in the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles Complex in Paris, France (Qualifying Rounds); and the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, France (Finals).
Book confidently with the P1 Event Guarantee. P1 Travel is an Official Sub-distributor of On Location for the sale of Paris 2024 Official Hospitality Products for the Netherlands (where P1 is based). Tickets can be purchased and used by spectators from any country.
Tickets are also available through the 2024 Summer Olympic Games website for individuals who have already pre-registered.
Qualifying Rounds: You’ll want to stay on the southwest side of the city near the Paris Expo. The site’s location slightly outside city center should help your prospects of finding hotels near the Paris Olympic Handball arena. You can also check out additional Olympic events happening inside the Paris Expo including Volleyball, Table Tennis & Weightlifting. A short trip west across the River Seine and you can also watch Olympic Tennis or Boxing at Roland-Garros Stadium (famous for the annual French Open) or Football at the Parc des Princes (usually home to Paris Saint-Germain football club).
Of course, if you can’t find lodging nearby consider staying by public transport stops further away and traveling to the event – more on that below.
Finals: It depends on your preference. We’ll talk about how to get to Stade Pierre Mauroy (aka Decathlon Stadium) in the next section. But for hotel considerations, it’s located in northern France along the Belgian border. You should be able to find hotels near the venue in Lille and surrounding areas of Villeneuve-d’Ascq. But if you’re feeling adventurous you could also broaden your horizons and stay in the French countryside (maybe a relaxing vacation rental home?) or hop across the border to Belgium. It’s up to you.
Qualifying Rounds: The address for the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles Complex (site of South Paris Arena #6) is 1 Pl. de la Prte de Versailles, 75015 Paris, France.
