Where's the best place as a spectator to watch the race? According to F1's official site it's the spectator stand on the outside of the Acque Minerali part of the course. This is a great spot to see the cars preparing to face the tight upcoming turn.
Where should you stay overnight to watch F1 racing at Imola?
The town of Imola is close to the track but only has a few hotel options and a scattering of vacation rentals. These will fill up quickly around racing dates.
Most visitors opt to stay in Bologna about 40 minutes northwest – and home of the Lamborghini and Ducati museums. The Italian cities of Venice (to the north) and Florence (to the southwest) are also very popular with F1 tourists. Both are located about 2 hours away.
For folks looking to check off quirky European bucket list items – the tiny but historic micro-nation of San Marino is only about 75 minutes to the southeast.

How do you get to the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari? Are public transport options available?
The address for the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari is: Piazza Ayrton Senna da Silva, 1, 40026 Imola BO, Italy.
The racetrack's official site has information on how to get there. Public transport is limited. There is a train station in Imola – the Stazione FS di Imola – that is located about 3.5km from the racetrack.
For flights, Bologna's Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) is your best bet. It's situated on the northwestern side of Bologna, about 48km from Imola racetrack.
